At Richard Dolgin Private Jeweler our custom studio can create jewelry with the gem stone of your dreams.
I was lucky to purchase an Amethyst from a gem dealer friend. The intense purple Amethyst was a trillion cut weighing 3.70 carat and measuring 11x11 mm from Africa.
Many people call Amethyst purple passion. Colors range from the refreshing hues of lilac to the color of a ripe plum. Amethyst expresses the drama and excitement of the color purple. Amethyst even has a dramatic history and is associated with immense emotion. From Greek legend to the color of royalty, Amethyst is vibrant and electric. The range of purple hues available are ideal for any skin tone and complement fashion conscious consumers. Amethyst is the February birthstone and is used to celebrate 4th, 6th, and 9th wedding anniversaries.
After purchasing this beautiful purple gem stone, I was showing it to one of our dear friends and clients. She loves and collects beautiful flowers and has a passion for the color purple. When I showed her this Amethyst, she fell in love with the gem. She decided she couldn't live without it, so our next step was to start designing a custom made ring mounting.
Marsha, the Master Jeweler, is a friend of this client and new her love for violet flowers. When designing the ring with our client Marsha wanted the ring to reflect the beautiful purple and have a floral appearance. After many drawings and conversations, Marsha carved and constructed one of the most beautiful rings we have made.
