From the day I was born, my father instilled in me a passion and love for diamonds.
From tracking my family history, we believe my great grandfather was a diamond merchant from Russia, which enabled him to bring the Dolginow family to the United States in the 1800s. From there my grandfather and grandmother started a jewelry store that was on Independence Avenue in Kansas City in 1914. Thus started a long family history of selling diamonds in the Kansas City area for over 100 years. I am proud to say that over the years we have represented ourselves fairly and sold generations of newlyweds their diamond engagement rings. In my store you can see professional equipment from the past that has been passed down from generation to generation.
All of this history in the diamond business as well as a formal education in the ethics of retail has taught me to treat each client fairly. It also taught me the importance of each individual diamond sale to each client. The diamond you purchase from me is cherished for a lifetime together and will be passed down to future generations to enjoy. This adds to my obligation to find the perfect diamond for each client.
Over the years I have been lucky to build a beautiful diamond inventory. This includes many sizes, shapes and qualities to suit the most discriminating taste. I have learned to listen to what my client wants and understand what a budget means. I teach clients about the 4Cs (cut, carat weight, clarity and color) in order to find the perfect balance to fit your budget.
I also buy diamonds from estates in the Kansas City area. If you have diamonds that are sitting in a drawer or safety deposit box that you would like to sell please call to set up an appointment. I try to be as fair as I can when buying diamonds from the past.
Here are some pictures of diamonds that we presently have in our inventory.
