A Wonderful Engagement Ring Project

Because of our internet presence the nicest young man recently contacted me about creating a custom engagement ring

My client's girlfriend had shown him a ring that she loved a few years ago. He kept this image and when the time came to get engaged, he wanted to custom make the ring to surprise his future fiance. She wanted a princess cut center diamond with trellis prongs and micro pave side diamonds. After reviewing the design we established the route we would take to make this beautiful ring. Using our CAD/CAM skills we designed a model which was approved by my client and then cast in platinum.

After the casting was grown from the CAD/CAM file, we received the platinum rough casting. Marsha cleaned up the rough casting, set the 48 side diamonds, and did the final polish. The finished ring came out spectacularly. Here are pictures of the rough casting and finished ring.

The diamond for this ring is a wonderful 0.75 carat princess cut, G color, VS clarity with a Diamond Grading Report from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA). The design of this ring showcases the beauty of this spectacular diamond.
