If you have inherited a collection of heirloom jewelry that you would like to sell, stop in to Richard Dolgin Private Jeweler so we can make an offer.
From time to time my customers have acquired jewelry items from the past that they would prefer to sell. These items are often very old and wonderfully crafted. Old world craftsmanship never goes out of style. We appreciate these treasures from the past and have developed a wonderful clientele that appreciates these pieces and comes to us to purchase quality items.
Over the years we have accumulated a beautiful selection on antique estate jewelry. We try to keep a number of pieces on hand to offer to our clients. Because of this we are always looking for unusual estate pieces from the past. Once such piece that we recently bought is an absolutely fabulous platinum ladies ring set with two Old European cut diamonds weighing approximately three carat total weight with extremely high color and clarity. These two diamonds are set in a hand crafted ring with 34 accent diamonds. The edges of the ring are milligrained, the shank is hand engraved, and the underbezel has intricate filigree work. This is truly an incredible piece of art that I am proud to offer. The old world craftsmanship and the quality of these diamonds makes this ring a sparkling wonder. Because of the cut of the diamonds as well as the old world craftsmanship, I estimate this ring is at least 100 years old. The only problem I have with a piece of jewelry like this is letting it go.
Some of the estate pieces we have accumulated include pins from the Victorian era, Art Deco pieces from the 1920s, and rings from the late 1800s. I feel all of these high quality estate pieces are true pieces of art. In our state of the art jewelry shop, Marsha loves taking on the challenge of restoring these pieces to their original quality so they can be wearable today. I feel doing this, we are restoring a piece of history from the jewelry industry. I wish these piece could talk to tell us what they have seen and heard and tell us more about their origin. Here are some images of estate pieces we have purchased.
