Since opening my jewelry studio in Overland Park Kansas I have had the same pictures on the wall. We felt it was time for an update.
Our jewelry studio update began with a desire to feature some of our recently made custom jewelry pieces as artwork. We wanted to showcase these beautiful pieces of jewelry when clients visit our jewelry store not only so that they can see examples of our work but also to help clients understand jewelry design possibilities. This project was inspired by my son Joseph to update our image.
The project began with us purchasing a professional photo quality printer that we use to print large format images. The next step in this jewelry studio update was to find frames that allowed us to easily update pictures as new jewelry projects were completed.
Like so many people do, we turned to Pinterest. We found a great wooden picture frame design perfect for our jewelry studio. These clipboard style wood picture frames are available at lovegrowswild. We crafted these frames ourselves from solid oak wood, then stained and polished them to have a modern look. Creating these wooden picture frames became a family project completed over Thanksgiving weekend with many family members helping. We have frames in multiple sizes to accommodate many different images. The larger images are 13 x 19 inches and the smaller version is 8 x 8 inches. What we really like about these frames is that we can update the pictures to reflect recently made pieces.
Some of the current images show the custom design process from CAD render to rough casting and to the final beautiful piece of jewelry. Another addition to our jewelry studio is a humorous letterpress poster from Hammerpress reminding customers how to behave ;-).
Upon your next visit to our office you will be inspired by our new displays.
